What Co-Management Means for You

You won’t have to manage the details alone. Our team begins with a routine eye exam to assess your vision and overall eye health, then confirms candidacy, coordinates your referral, and monitors your healing after surgery. This approach gives you a consistent care team, convenient follow-ups, and expert support at every stage.

Types of Refractive Surgery We Co-Manage

  • LASIK: Laser reshapes the cornea for clear distance vision.

  • PRK: Surface-based laser correction for thinner corneas.

  • Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE): Replaces your eye’s natural lens.

  • Intraocular Contact Lens (ICL): A permanent, implantable lens placed inside the eye to correct vision.

We help determine which procedure is right for you based on your prescription, eye health, and goals.

Pre-Op Evaluation & Surgical Coordination

Before surgery, we perform a comprehensive eye health assessment that includes:

  • Corneal mapping and topography

  • Prescription stability check

  • Dry eye evaluation

  • Medical history and lifestyle review

At The Eye Clinic, we also answer all of your questions and make sure you understand the procedure timeline, risks, and expected results.

Is LASIK or PRK Right for You?

Not everyone is a candidate for refractive surgery, and that’s okay. As part of your comprehensive eye condition treatment, we’ll walk you through a complete candidacy assessment and provide honest guidance based on what’s best for your vision and long-term eye health. You must be at least 21 years old with a stable prescription, healthy eyes, and no major corneal issues.

If surgery isn’t recommended, we’ll explore other options, such as:

  • Premium glasses or contacts

  • Specialty lenses (including sclerals)

  • Dry eye treatment to improve comfort and stability

Post-Op Care & Ongoing Support

After surgery, we’ll see you right here in our office for all follow-up visits. We monitor your healing, check for complications, and help fine-tune your prescription if needed. Our goal is to help you maintain clear, stable vision and stay connected to a team that knows your eyes.
